Problems with Verizon Motorola V710 and Brew AppLoader

The Brew AppLoader cannot connect to the device. I close all the programs that might be capturing the serial port and the application still not recogniced the device.

I think you need to install Motorola Device Drivers...

I've had trouble with a Motorola V710 as well.

I bought a cable on EBay from ACCSTATION, with driver CD http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=35209&item=5787567095&rd=1 ). The cable worked OK for a few days - frequent reconnects but it worked. Then it got flakier and flakier. I think the contacts have problems, but it sounds like this phone doesn't work well with Apploader even with a good cable.

My V710 phone also has trouble with the battery contacts. Phone keeps turning off and I have to pop the battery out and reseat it. I bought a replacement extended life battery but it has the same problem in the phone. Anyone got any ideas about how to fix that problem?
