Hello I am having a hell of a time connecting my KYOCERA 3250 with a TXDTA10057 USB cable.

I've got the latest drivers and instructional PDF off of

http://www.kyocera-wireless.com/3200-phone/drivers.htm

However, when I plug the phone into my USB ports I never get the "Found new hardware wizard."

I've restarted and all the usual things (tried manualy adding the hardware but the .inf didn't come up with any recognised devices), tried on several computers. Anyone with tips/experience?! right now my only thought is the USB may be fried on the handset :(

thanks!!!

Hey,
Thank you for that link.
I tried connecting KX2 usb cable (same number as yours) and got the drivers from your given site and it worked..:)
Sometimes it asks twice / thrice for installing some more components of same cable so just give same path next time also and it should work.If problem persists, just mail me on anand@lammbenttek.com.

Anand.

i'm glad that eventually worked for you. at my office we tried the USB cable on several machines and none of them would even pop-up a "new hardware found" wizard. hearing your story i suspect there is just something wrong with the USB interface of my handset.

eventually i just ordered the serial cable and that worked fine!

back to USB: every time i've installed USB drivers for other phones "add new hardware wizard" asks for the same component multiple times! It works in those cases, i wonder what it is doing.
