Hi guys,

I just got my Audiovox CDM8940 back from Qualcomm, so I 'think' its test enabled. However, I'm running into problems keeping the app on the device.

I used the AppLoader to put my .mif into the brew directory, and tried creating a subfolder under brew with the .mod, .bar, and .sig.

Once I reset the phone, all my files are wiped from the phone, which is what I would expect on a non-test-enabled phone.

I also tried putting my app within the brew/download directory. This time, my app stays there, but my .mif file which I can only place in the brew directory gets wiped out.

Can someone let me know what else to try?

Please help. Thanks.

Sounds like it's not test enabled. There are no special procedures for loading to this phone.

So do I send the phone back to Qualcomm again? Is there not a way to tell whether it's truly been test enabled?

Also, where would the app be in the menus of the CDM8940? Under "Get it Now"? How would an end user navigate to the brew app I load onto this phone?

If you are loading applications to the device in the proper location (see the documentation for this) and it's being removed on power-cycle, the device is not test enabled.

To access the application, you would go to BREW AppManager (AKA Get It Now). Your application's icon would be available if properly installed.
