Hi Guys,

Can someone please tell me where I can get the serial data cable for Motorola T20? URL or store location and the product ID is really helpfully. I could not find the info at motorola.com.

Also, someone said we could use a USB cable as well! Is this true? If so, what is the product number of the cable?

Thanks,
Vasanth

Based on what I've seen in this forum, my advice is stick with the serial cable.

The model number is 98320J.

USB cables don't work with the current Apploader program, it dosen't recognize them.

Scott:

I didn't think so either, but you should read this thread. (http://brewforums.qualcomm.com/showthread.php?s=&postid=1972#post1972)

Some appear to have had success with the USB cable. Many have indicated it's not reliable.

Also look at the last post on this page. (http://brewforums.qualcomm.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=423&pagenumber=2)

Just got hold of the 'Mobile Office Kit' from Verizon which says 'Designed for Motorola V120 V60 Series & T720'.
The kit also comes with a USB cable .
I installed the first CD which has the driver.

After that, I am able to connect to the phose using 'COM5' as the port. Though it apploader was saying that it is using COM5, it was actually using the USB port.

Just buy the iDEN data cable from NEXTEL. It's cheaper and it works. (same interface) At least the serial one does. I've ordered a few new cables including the USB one. We'll see if it works.

www.nextel.com -- just go in the store and look at the accessories. They have the OEM data cables...$19.99 for the USB one and $29.99 for the serial one.
