t720 apploader problems

Greetings,

I have just tried to connect a t720 to my PC using the USB cable I purcashed when I got the phone from Verizon.

I downloaded the BREW tools 2.1 today and the following issues have come up:

1) the info requested/required by the test sig app on the extranet does not match the t720!

2) after I found the magic code needed to get the sig app to work,
I tried to transfer the files to the phone -- the app loader (ver 2.1.0.4) does not list the t720! Makes it difficult to test an app on what I have been told is popular phone.

3) I have found conflicting information on these forums -- can use the serial cable from my i85s, can use the USB and something from the verizon mobile office (which I have) etc.

4) I have sent an email to the tech support via the extranet, but if my experience holds, I will not get a reply.

So, does anyone know how to load an app onto the t720 and could that information be made available to the rest of us in an easy to read document -- that lists all the require files/hardware etc.

We use entirely Serial cables for our phones. Although the USB should work no different.


I'm assuming you have had your phone dev enabled by qualcomm? Sense you have an extranet account and all.

Other wise, it may be a problem on the T720, in my experiences it has numarnce problems and was pushed out the door without proper QA.

Try using a serial cable. The 2.0 brew tools works fine for use on our T720s.

Try using version 2.0 of the tools. I've seen problems on the board relating to v2.1

Thanks Smarkwell for the info. The handset is being testbit enabled -- turns out mine wasn't. I should have it back tomorrow and then we will see, I will DL the 2.0 stuff just in case.

I'd love to, but I don't know where to get v2.0, can anyone help?
