Hi,
This might not be specifically a BREW tools problem, but I don't know where else to turn. I've been trying to successfully install the Samsung A530 USB drivers on my workstation for the past couple of days. Every time the installation got to the part where it was installing the Samsung CDMA Modem drivers (specifically sscdcmnt.sys), the system would freeze, my only option being to manually restart my computer.
After much despair, I decided to try installing the drivers in Windows Safe Mode. This worked, much to my amazement. However, after restarting the computer, I started AppLoader and attempted to connect to the Samsung device on COM 8, and the computer froze when I tried to connect to the device. After restarting, I went into Device Manager to check the properties of the CDMA driver and the computer again froze when I double clicked on the Samsung CDMA Modem device. I tried doing this in safe mode and was allowed to go into the device properties.
All this has lead me to believe that there is some kind of problem or conflict with the CDMA driver, but other people I work with have successfully installed and used the same driver, under the same OS (windows xp, sp2).
Has anyone else had or heard of this kind of problem, and if so can you help me?
Thanks,
Marc Angelillo
