Server Software Engineers
We are hiring senior Java software engineers to write server-side code for web-based applications, for both internal and external use. We are looking for well-rounded developers who know how to create robust high-volume production applications, and can also develop prototypes quickly. You should have a good understanding of, and practical experience with, Java web application development. In addition, you should have a strong understanding and appreciation of good software development processes.
Requirements:
-BS or MS in Computer Science or equivalent (PhD a plus).
-Several years of software development experience.
-Strong Java skills and object oriented design experience, including working knowledge of core libraries, design patterns, JSP and servlets.
-Experience in database design and SQL; mySQL a plus.
-Experience developing database driven, Internet-based, server applications a must.
-Significant development experience in a UNIX/Linux environment.
-Knowledge of session management, object relational mapping, XML web services, and agile development methodologies desired.
-Knowledge of various wireless data/voice technologies (SMS, GPRS, SMPP, WAP Push etc.)
Other desirable items:
-Knowledge of Perl and shell scripting.
-Experience with CVS and other open source technology.
-Experience with Python and C++, Javascript, and/or SOAP desired.
-Experience with CVS, Bugzilla, Ant, JUnit (Cactus), JDBC a plus.
-Be able to lead and provide technical direction to the team.
