Charlie is such a character ;)
Many of us do contract work, and you can find contact /web site information in our forum profiles (click the profile button at the bottom of the posts).

Yeah but we don't really know qualcomms policy on us openly advertising on a tech forum even in response , plus i could see it getting really messy, profiles are the solution to that, that way we don't have to shamelessly self promote and people can find out what they need to know with a click.

I have always wondered how effective companies that choose to respond to every work inquiry with "We can do that!" are.... I have been to several of the technical outsourcing sites (we do contract development) and I see companies that say they can do everything for everybody.
Of course a talented programmer can eventually learn and perform any task, but even a small army of outsourced programmers are not going to write the same kind of code as a couple of very experienced and focused individuals.

they may just have a pool of developers available in a lot of fields, or they just get the contract then hire someone to do it.
plus people can get to a point where code is just code and just figure it out, its never good to judge other peoples abilities or limitations by your own i find.
of course if it was a highly specialized thing requiring highly specialized information, then the seeker would be aware of this and no doubt want some proof.
but its all caveat emptor anyway, if the person looking for developers doesn't do some checking or groundwork on the people saying we can do it all, then its their own fault.
