LG6000 Serial Cable

Apploader has stopped detecting my LG6000 (USB) even after multiple reboots of the PC / Phone and reinstallation of the drivers. A serial cable would solve my probelms but I haven't seen anywhere on the web where I can purchase a serial (not USB) cable for the LG6000 -- any ideas?
