event handling when having dialog

Thank you for those answered my previous post. This time i want to ask a question that seems to be asked by someone long before but not answered. It is if i have a dialog active, how do i intercept a key event and handle it with my own code. By default the event is sent to the control and my even handler can't receive this Is there any mechanism to redirect or send the event to our own handler? If not, does it mean we haveto put seperate control in display without being associated with a dialog?any suggestion will be appreciated. Thanks.

IDIALOG_SetEventHandler() can help you, however you may find it is easier to manage your interface yourself, rather than relying on the dialogs. This is due to a bug that was found in the 1.0 release, where tabbing events were not sent by ITEXTCTL’s.
