Anyone got a USB driver for the LG VX4400? It's weird, I bought a VX10 USB cable awhile back, plugged it in, and viola! It worked.
I disconnected my VX4400 recently, and plugged it back in. Now the AppLoader can't find the device. And Windows keep saying a new unknown USB device has been plugged in.
Does anyone have a VX4400 driver I can use to remedy this situation? Or is everyone out there using the serial cable?

Hi,
I actually used the VX10 usb driver. It worked for me under Win2K.

I got the cable and drivers from the Verizon VX10 mobile office kit.
If you google download "lg usb" driver (http://www.google.com/search?q=download+%22lg+usb%22+driver), then it gives a link to http://www.susteen.com/downloads.htm which lets you download the driver you need.
I wouldn't count on that page staying up there forever, so download what you need asap.
P.S. I just noticed that the LG driver currently on that page might be designed to work for just their software (not sure). But Google's cached version of that page points to an older LG driver, which has the same name as the one that comes with Verizon's mobile office kit. The website apparently has the file still sitting there on the server, so you can download the old one: http://www.susteen.com/download/LGUsbConverterDriver.exe

Ahh futuredial. I've tried installing this to no avail. When it asks me to turn on the phone and plug it in, I do that and nothing happens. And after installing the driver and rebooting, it still can't see the phone.

Oh wait, this isn't futuredial. I'm having trouble downloading this file-it quits out about %90 through. Is there any way you can email me the driver? You can send it to my ralph@flarb.com address if at all possible.
Yeah, i noticed that that website was having problems during daylight hours, but it came back to life late at night.

Just in case anyone is still in need for the USB drivers, here is the webpage of a cable manufacturer who is offering USP drivers for a wide variety of phones, including the VX4400. I got my driver from there and it works jus tfine.
